Fun game, I first played this in a gaming convention and was declared winner for both games (small tournament). My first German turn I retreated from 2 of my 3 eastern front attacks, Russia has way more infantry and I had to conserve my tanks and artillery until I had built up lots of infantry, then I was able to march east and prove dominance in the East. As the allied player my opponent was extremely aggressive with Germany, buying lots of tanks and attacking everywhere along my Russian front, after surviving several attacks I suddenly had the biggest army in the east and my western allies were already landing in western Europe.

Attacking has its own charm in A&A Europe though. Tanks defend on a 2 in this game, which makes the German Tank Stack much weaker on defense than it is on offense.

Realistically though. All you can do as USSR in this game is ball up in Belorussia, then ball up in Moscow and pray. Send lots of FTRs as UK/USA to try to boost your odds for the climactic turn 3 battle of Moscow.

Provided Russia actually survives the full might of Germany, you're free to start building units other than INF and start winning.

In your opinion, is this version superior to the new Europe 1940? Do you feel that's it's more balanced than the new Europe? Love the content keep up the great work!

Where should I put the 12 dollar bonus in the beginning for the allies? I always have trouble.
