Just came across this video as I'm looking for a similar solution. Great lamp you built there! Really cool to see someone using hand tools instead of things like CNC machines and things like that.

Regarding your security concerns about the speaker wire: They're more than capable enough for this job. No security issues whatsoever. Especially using a 12V LED strip. But yeah people are always concerned with DIY stuff but don't question the cheap chinese lamps from the store. They are extremely scary when it comes to security and wire gauges lol

First of all thank you very much. Although I learned a lot from you, But you can make it more complicated, also new LED tube light 4 feet tube came 3 pin L5 which is more attractive. and use the double switch and two tube lights.

Bro project was good but one thing remaining, u should also install acrylic sheet on the led for more better results and nice looking.

Really nice lamp. The LED that You use is connected directly to the current source? What's the voltage 110v ?
