I just purchased one of these boxes. They are a great piece of kit. My only wish is that as part of this install video it also showed how to wire up a DCDC charger to the control box. Just for some additional clarification.

Well done, and a fair price, too. I like the extra positive terminal in there, and a good sized negative bus bar, plus plenty of room inside and on the face for mounting extra components.

Would it be wise to add an on/off switch between the 40amp fuse and the 12v control Panel to make sure your batteries don’t run flat because the voltmeter is always on?

I have a dual battery set up under my hood. Do I need to run both the positic and negative to the back or can it be grounded to the body of the car?

Should a switch be installed to turn the control box off? There doesn't seem to be a way to stop the box drawing power from the 2nd battery to power the volt metre
Thanks a lot

I have installed a dcdc and duel battery under bonnet and control box in the tray. I have also just mounted a permanent solar panel on the roof. Im just confused about the control panel instructions for modifying to suit solar input. Could you explain how I should be wiring it up. Will it run back to the dcdc or does it need a regulator??
