I believe that God doesn't allow pain for pain's sake. There is always a reason. Sometimes it is to strengthen/grow us, sometimes it is to turn us to repentance, sometimes it is to draw us closer to Him. The reason will vary in every situation, but I believe there always is one.

I'm in a place of unbelief right now where I feel like giving up on God but I remind myself every morning not to. I don't trust God but I want to and it's so hard to trust Him when your heart is resistant to it. I pray every day for God to have mercy on me and I can't give up because without God and Jesus I have nothing. Please never give up on Him no matter how dark and painful things may seem.

Pain doesn't disprove God's existence!

It isn't over yet! I left God, too, as a young adult because of pain and believing God couldn't love me and let me hurt so much until I realized He was up to so much more than letting me be happy and that my pain still mattered to Him. I learned so much about God and saw just how awful I was without Him so dramatically. It was such a gift, but it sure was hard!

If you believe in God or not you will go through tribulation regardless. Only difference is the faithfully obedient will receive perfect peace and love while the disobedient fall into complete chaos!!!!

I don’t know where I’d be without God.
He has always been there for me. I felt Him and knew that even as a kid going through tough things I did not understand. He was always there.
I’m so humbled and grateful God, I owe it all to you. I pray that every heart, soul and mind comes to believe in your son Jesus. I love you with all my heart.
Love, me, your daughter…a lowly sinner. Who has a place at your table because of what Jesus did for me.
I pray for everyone to know and believe it’s what Jesus did for them too

I’m “holding onto the pain”, even though I know it’s wrong. I do however have faith that God has a purpose for me.
God bless you all.! 🙏🏻❤️

When i was a kid growing up with an abusive family I prayed for God to help me but he never did. my parents were supposedly catholic but only at church. I became an atheist. only recently did I come to christianity because i see how evil things are now. but nothing can justify the pain some children suffer in childhood.

Those tested the MOST have a higher calling. God uses all walks of life to prove his love, compassion, trust, and faith. Faith is like the wind, we can feel it but we can’t see it. To the world you may be one person, but to one person you may be the world.

Bad things happen. Why they do happen is a matter of motive and intent. God has given us free will. Whether or not He approves of what we do with our free will is another thing. As of late, there is a whole lot of deeds of humanity that God definitely disapproves of. Jesus Christ return quickly please!

We need to experience pain, so that when we testify our story to non believers they can hear about the wonderful God who rescued out of that pain.

God can't control man because of free will and most of the suffering in this world is caused by choices made by humans.
As a child I faced much cruelty and blamed God for this but as an adult I watched my abusers suffer for a long time for me to witness.
Call it what you will, karma, divine justice etc.
As an adult I renewed my faith in God not because of this but because I knew that following Jesus meant I was far away from my abusers and their associated behavior and I'm absolutely fine with that.

Wow, this is exactly what my fiance is going through right now. He has so much hate and anger in him right now. He hates his mom and dad because of the stuff they put him through when he was little. He tells me stories all the time about the things he's been through. And he really hates them. Now he's at the point he hates everybody. And he hates God, because he says if there was really a God then why hasn't he stopped them from breathing/ living. That God isn't a just God. He also drinks a lot. And that makes it way worse. I pray for him all the time. Please if anyone reads this pray for him.

God allows pain and trouble in our lives to build you, not break you. Keep your faith and you will thrive.

God says we all need to suffer at least a little before things get better.☦️

I don't know why God allows us to go through pain and trauma. But I do know that God wants us to turn to Him so He can go through it WITH US.

the biggest disservice you can ever do to yourself is to move away from God. there’s something about moving away from God that just affects your overall well-being 💔. rather take all your questions, confusions and unbelief and direct it God rather than directing it to things that won’t make you any content or any happier.

Sean will be grateful for those moments one day. God works on a different timeline than us. God will complete His purpose in all of us.

God always cares and there are times of silence on his part to reveal our faith. This happened with Israel when during the time of Isaiah, he was silent to Israel for a long time and they once again turned against God.

I agree with Jon in that I too don’t know why suffering exists in an ultimate sense. Some suffering certainly seems attributable to human free will but there are other forms of suffering that resist convenient categorisation. But one thing we can know for certain is that suffering does not exist because God does not care. He cares so much that He suffers right alongside us. During the famous Pauline encounter with God on the road to Damascus, God says, “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” and not “Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting my followers?”. When we suffer we are never alone. The Creator of the universe suffers with us and feels deeply what we feel. We aren’t told all the reasons why these things happen today but one day we will know even as we are known. The Cross proves that our God is a trustworthy God. We can trust Him with our pain and suffering. He knows.
