Hello! We're so excited to announce that we are launching a Patreon! We're hoping this will help us to better connect with you, and provide us with a platform to share content more informally with you all as we work on writing and releasing more new music.

I feel like this demo makes the harmonies pop instead of blending them into the background. The recording itself may be messy, but it has that adorable acoustic feel to it. Enchanting! Keep being awesome, I love you crane wives! <3

!!! "You could have had anything, anything else / Instead of hoarding all that's left of me" One of the only changes in the song's lyrics but still something pretty cool! This version sounds more accusing, more oriented towards the other person, whereas the revised "We could have had anything, anything else / Instead you hoarded all that's left of me" feels more involved and personal and resigned, if that makes any sense? Also this version just generally feels more lively, like how the melody actually goes up at the end of certain lines "instead I made a bed with apathy" compared to the revised version. Though, that makes the revised version better IMO because it makes it sound sadder and more lonely which is the overall theme of the song. ANYWAY all that to say this video was such a treat! Emilee you sound so adorable in the DIY recording haha /pos it's so cool to see the song's growth!

This demo feels more personal than the original, like its sung to console oneself while the official version is more of an accusation against whomever the singer is conflicting with.
