You are the first video that helped me grasp what I was missing. I didn't realize I needed to log the 20/13 and then divide by the log of 1.039. I was dividing log20 by the log of the product of 65*1.039. My calculation wasn't adding up compared to my graphing calculator. Thank you!

My daughter was given an exercise to find out the values of A and B. Surprisingly none of these exponential functions videos on youtube bothered to discuss that, other than just saying A is the constant factor and B is the decay factor.


For example
y=5^X
y=1/4(2^(1-x))


What are the values of A, B, and why?
