In this video, we're going to deal with tight, achy, dull, painful calves (aka gastrocnemius muscle). It's going to broken up into a very easy to follow three-part guide.

In the first part, we're going to focus on a wonderful self-massage technique. It might end up
becoming your new favorite therapy!

Second, we're going to get everything loosened up and moving better with great stretching exercises for the calves.

The third part, we're going to focus on strengthening the gastrocnemius muscle with very easy-to-do exercises that may help lead to less instances of calf pain in the future.

All of these exercises can be done AT HOME, don't require any special equipment and may give quick relief, even in as little as 30 SECONDS.

But that spoon technique! Wtf, but that truly worked in less than two minutes, no lie! I was in so much pain with my calf muscle and I couldn't walk properly for the past three days with it -- but I did that technique and it's worked

I stumbled upon your video..ironically because I pretty much gave up hope of getting RID of the tightness in my calf while trying to end the year & half of a severe case of planter fasciitis.
Dehabilitating!! off work, sad, in pain, sick to my stomach I can't even walk my beloved furbabies.
Sock compressions, sockwave, ultrasound, stretching, riding a mountain bike in summer & stationary bike in winter..THATS BEEN MY LIFE.

****I preformed the spoon exercise on my right leg..went wow!
I then did it again applying regular body lotion..(didnt like the medicine smell b4)..then my left leg.
Im an info commercial after this....
Did step 2..stretched.

🎉**Stunned that awful tightness is gone! Iv only done this twice today so far. It works!

72 hours thinking I had a calf strain after an easy 25 KM Friday and playing football last minute Saturday, tried absolutely everything from icing to rolling a tennis ball and nothing worked. Tried this last night and cannot believe the results, walking without a limp and ankles / feet instantly relieved with now only 1 x minor knot in the calve to continue stretching - thank you so so much!!!

From @familyrunsclub Thanks! APRIL 14TH was jersey city marathon and i had to stop at halfway due to pain. An hour later i could barely walk. After doing this exercise 1 time only, my pain in calf, achilles tendon and upper foot have reduced. Will keep doing this for several days!!

I wish I saw this video over the weekend. I had tight and very painful calves and could not walk on my heels. I used a foam roller and did some calf stretches and had them massaged. Finally I ended up using a magnesium muscle rub and capsaicin with a little heat. The muscles were able to relax a bit and I continued with stretches. Now I can walk again!! Thanks for this video. It gives me more ways to stretch. Warning use Capsaicin sparingly!
