Not many people talking about the score. It was absolutely phenomenal especially in the 2 finale episodes

I’m gonna need a season 3, 4 and 5 of this show. It feels like a trilogy of the Star Wars animation department.

Not enough people recognize the incredible character writing we have in star wars now. From season 7 of CW to the end of TBB s2, the squad has evolved so much. Not to mention all the other stories like Mando who's characters have majorly evolved. And of course Andor with its deeply nuanced approach. Some people see star wars as the fun action franchise, which it is, but it is also so much more and should be recognized for that.

On the whole, I definitely felt this season was not only good but also an excellent improvement over season 1. We got a lot more intriguing stuff such as the phasing out of the Clones, the Bad Batch figuring out what to do, the potential of a Clone Rebellion, etc. Also, limiting the guest characters was appreciated too, and even with the guests used such as Senator Chuchi, they were used to great effect. So yeah, I greatly enjoyed this season and look forward to season 3 (which I suspect could be the final one).

I love how the series used its themes and ideas and how they where placed though out show, real credit on the writers on doing a great job.
Also the ending wow talk about a double but punch to the feels.

Great season, loved it. Not every episode like you said, but I never thought any were 'filler" like so many wanna say now. Techs sacrifice was powerful, moving and unexpected. I do however think that Kanans sacrifice in Rebels was more impactful, not sure how I wanna phrase that, but maybe it's because we had another season or 2 of him before his death...also the whole having a kid with Hera too

If Saw had actually succeeded in killing Tarkin, it might have actually made things worse. His replacement might have been more amenable to Thrawn and his doctrines, which would have made the rebellion much more difficult.

One of my favorite seasons of Star Wars. Everything hit for me and it all paid off in the end.

Thank you to the Star Wars Explained team for making these videos. I am started to get confused with the time lines and story lines now since there is so much content.
Thank you for this content. It's like Coles Notes for Star Wars. 😊

Part of me is still annoyed Cody was featured so heavily in the promos, was in one episode, didn’t have a finished arc, and left forever after not seeing him for 17 years.

Overall I did enjoy this season, definitely best of the two so far. I think Season 3 will be great with what they have set up. We got a lot of good character development, emotion, fun stories, new worlds and characters and a lot of good action. For what this show is on its own following this squad of characters I think they are handled well. I am personally on the side of seeing each episode for what they are and not as "filler" because to didn't follow some main storyline. Each episode follows our Batch even if some might be lessor then others.

I am ready for Season 3 though and we'll see if they announce it at Celebration here soon.

When Sid was all “you brought heat to my place”, I’m thinking bullshit, when did the empire crack down on your place ? You called them there. Just recouping 30 pieces of silver

I've really enjoyed the show's main theme about how soldiers are accountable for their actions, orders or not, and that they have a moral obligation to defy orders they don't agree with _especially_ if it requires them to commit a war crime

Not to mention that this show has one of the best cliffhangers in Star Wars to date. Unlike ESB were the villains did get away with their evil plans and in the final scene we see our main characters/heroes together ( not Han ). S2 of TBB final ends with a plot twist and leaves the next season into so many directions

This show is insanely good and this is the show I had the most doubt in on announcement, glad to be proven wrong.

The first half of the season was a mixed bag imo. The first 2 eps were decent, 3rd obviously brilliant, 4-6 were okay. But from ep7 to the end of the season, it was straight 🔥 I really really like this show. Its aesthetic is great, the writing is great for the most part, and the music is incredible too. In that earlier part of the season I was like hmm maybe I won't like this season as much as the first, which I really enjoyed. S1 is an 8/10 for me. But s2 is probably a 9/10. They really found the show's stride in the last 10eps of the season. I can't wait for season 3. I enjoyed s1 more than the mandalorian and I gotta say that has been solidified even further by season 2. Iirc I got really emotional in 5 of the episodes especially eps 8, 9, 12 and 16.
I watched ep12 "The Outpost" with my dad before watching the mandalorian chapter 18 (s3e2) and after both of them my dad (who has seen all of the mandalorian but a handful of eps of the bad batch, probably like 4 maximum) said that it was quite interesting how the bad batch had better and more mature writing than the mandalorian, and I gotta say, he's not wrong.

I do have some problems with the season of course. I really didn't engage much with eps4 and 5, as an avid podracing hater in TPM ep4 was always going to be an uphill battle for me. Maybe I'll like it more on rewatch, but I do appreciate its existence especially because we get to see Tech do more cool things. And ep5 was just a bit average, but its to setup the batch's relationship with Phee more and thats okay. It did have a cool action thing tho so not a total loss ig. My biggest thing though is that I wanted to see more of Crosshair. Like, obviously if we consider s1 as Hunter's season and s2 as Tech's. S3 is undoubtedly going to be Crosshair's (as the show tends to focus on the relationship between Omega and one of her Brothers, I don't think we'll get a Wrecker season because they just vibe so well already and just get each other... anyway) and I'm more okay in knowing/assuming that. But when Crosshair has arguably 2 of the best if not the best episodes in the season you obviously want to see him more than a handful of times. I was really annoyed that after ep3 it was 8 full episodes until we saw him again. I was also quite frustrated with Hunter this season, especially in regards to Crosshair in the finale, it just felt, off... but I can also understand where he's coming from in those different positions, I just feel like it maybe could've been handled clearer. I wish that they'd have more 2 part stories in season 2 as it worked really well in s1 and while thats somewhat the case, at least they put the 2 parters out together, huge W there. I do strongly believe that s3 would be best suited, at least based on the ideas I have. To be 8 2part stories or even just 8 double length episodes. Especially if they choose to end with s3, which is entirely possible. We don't need to see those extra side adventures anymore imo. Especially with how s2's plot threads leave off for s3. I don't want mandalorian style oh boy we gotta go here then there then everywhere to bog the season down. The character motivations and story structure in my head that I've got for s3 just don't allow for that. But hey, I'm not the one writing or paying for the show, Disney and Lucasfilm will do whatever they want. But yeah I love this show so much.

Crosshair had almost ALL the best episodes and when it was bad it was horrible filler. I'm just surprised the bad batch didn't have an episode where they were doing Sid's laundry or grocery shopping. In my opinion, this show is so disappointing. Why are all of the most important character decisions off-screen? Cody leaves the Empire, Echo leaves the group to go with Rex, and the Batch leaves Cid, all of these are off-screen and irritate me I hope they cut out all those unnecessary filler episodes next season.

I disagree that the imperial troops and their high command don't know that they expected to be given everything(their life too) for the empire, otherwise why they would be carrying that suicide device in their mouth, they know it, is just that some don't follow it because they betray the empire

Kevin Kiner is the man! Seriously! The way he borrows from and builds on John Williams is sensational. A definite highlight of the season for me.

"Nolan thinks he is so superior to Clones, seeing them as used equipment and not as people, but he doesn't understand that that's exactly how The Empire sees him too; not as a person with value, as a tool". To be fair, Nolan was kind of a tool. XD
