🐸 Goblincore Lookbook 🐸

Hello! Here are a few looks for some goblincore outfit inspiration. Goblincore is all about nature; focusing on things like frogs, snails, and mushrooms. I'd say things to look for dark colors, nature patterns (leaves, mushrooms, frogs . . . etc) , overalls, brown pants, and items with a slightly old-fashioned feel. The color palette I focused on was dark and natural, with earthy and foresty tones.

For those asking about the bird: she was given to us by a neighbor. They found her on the road as a weak nestling and had tried to take care of her but did not know how. My dad's parents ran a nature conservancy and he grew up taking care of anything from raccoons to snakes. We called all of the local bird places but none would take it - they were either too full or didn't want a nestling. So we fed her and sheltered her until she was able to fly. We even took her to the park where she was found and spent hours looking for other birds like her but found none. We even left her there for a few hours to see if she would be ok, but she came to us when we returned. She did not know how to catch food and was very hungry so we took her back. Even though we know you are supposed to have as little personal connection to it as possible, it just kind of happened and she started landing on our heads or hands. Some things happened and finally, a spot at a bird place opened up. The owner said she was the healthiest and most taken care of bird that had been brought to them. Unfortunately because of certain circumstances, we did not get to say goodbye. Yeah, there's some tea here. ☕️ Anyway, we stayed in contact with the owner and she provided us with updates. Kit - the bird, was doing really well. The aviary was always open so the birds could leave whenever they want. One day Kit did not return and so we assume she joined her flock who were actually migrating the previous month.

ROCK ON! I just found out that my husband and I are "goblincore" yesterday! We have SO MANY rocks lol. I like to look for quality and cheap outdoorsy clothes on threadup. You can get nice used vintage clothes and sort by "wool" so you know the fabric will keep you warm in the rain (which is 100% sure to happen when you flop around outside all the time).

I never was a person who said they had some kind of style or dressed in this or that aesthetic, but always loved cottagecore. Yet it just wasn't for me.
