i only recently got introduced to the term “goblin/crow hoarding” even though i’ve unconsciously been doing this all my life. used to refer to it as lost things as a kid cause i was obsessed with tinkerbell, haha.

OMG, we've had SWAPs in Girl Scouts forever! A SWAP is Something With A Pin and is traded whenever different troops come together. Although I was a leader, I still made and received SWAPs from dozens of girls at events, and I still have them almost 15 years later. The only rule for a SWAP was that it had to be handmade. (It was very helpful if a tiny paper was included on the SWAP with the name of the maker, their troop number, and the event/date.) One could attach it with the safety pin to a vest, a shirt, a hat, whatever. I'm at a loss for how to display them, so I just have them all in a cardboard box. I'm so glad to see that the tradition is carried on in other groups!
