As a huge fan of the Raimi trilogy, It honestly still bugged that some MCU haters pointed to this scene as Tom’s Peter being weak or something. The Spidey-Sense detects incoming danger, so it wouldn’t work here. May had no malicious intent, and the banana posed no threat whatsoever. If something wouldn’t hurt him, he isn’t alerted to it. It doesn’t make him weaker or anything, it just has no reason to warn him.
