Thank god I kept watching, at first I really read beg. as begging and thought that was part of the process.

Why a T though? That was just a line straight down.

Golden advice. I spent the last couple of days reviewing portfolios of potential designers with 5++ years of experience. I can’t tell you how many times I wish they did tips 2-3—which I believe are essential for non design-agency companies. You want your prospective employer to believe you can deliver what they need, & it’s really easy to help them see this if you tailor fit your portfolio + dig deep into your value as an indispensable creative.

I’m positioning myself on Upwork and this gave me the confirmation I need to showcase work in a richer fashion rather than focusing on quantity of projects. I’m going to provide short and concise descriptions of why each deliverable was executed the way it was as it relates to the business.

This felt like I was doing too much but nope, I’m going to stick to it and will only post work this way. I real deal have been on the fence because it seems prospects are choosing designers with a wide range or high amount of projects rather profiles that are deep and thorough.

But bump that I’m going deep or going home from here on out.😤

You can have 30 years design experience and be out of work, because technology has moved on...making your "expertise" less then what is needed..especially in Social Media Marketing Design. Your whole life dedicated to a field that throws you under the bus! Your income can drastically drop after 40 in Graphic Design, because young people's skills are more in demand...a difficult career path that pays well in 20's & 30's & less when you need it the most (40 - 50's) & your own children are to enter Tertiary Education, you might be as poor as a church mouse, with many years EXPERIENCE.
