As a graphic designer I have 2 preliminary comments:
• The chapter opening spreads looks fantastic!
• The other pages...well, honestly, putting the text in every page into white boxes is a clear mark of an amateur designer.
Where the Chapter opening spreads look well designed an open, the boxed in text look cramped, thrown together, in a word, uninspired.
I would eliminate the boxes altogether for the main text and save them for limited use for charts, pull quotes, highlighted sections and the like. If you can not eliminate them, reduce the opacity and let the artwork underneath show through a bit.
Also, the cover is very monochromatic. Some complementary colors would make it pop.
Just my unasked-for 2 cents.

Was hoping to sign onto your Kickstarter but it's way too pricey for me. $58 US before shipping. Especially when shipping has been notorious recently. Good luck but I have plenty of books that were way cheaper.

QUESTION. What made you decide to make the PDF that price? It seems really high to me, it is genuinely the highest price pdf I've ever backed. $38 AUS which is 20%-80% than other kickstarters for example.

I can't justify the book at $90 AUS and postage which will take it to near $130 for one hardcover.

I wish you well with the campaign and I'm thinking of supporting but seems high for something that's not guaranteed.
