It was great meeting you and explaining the van! The video turned out pretty awesome and I'm glad to have been a part of it! 👌

It looks like a Honda Element at the front, a London taxi in the middle and a Suzuki Carry at the rear. I dig it, it’s so deeply utilitarian and doesn’t try to hide its function at all.

In Australia, there was a company called Flashcab and they modified Ford Falcon station wagons during the 90s and 2000s with a rear facing ramp and raised roof where the rear luggage area was for wheelchair access. Most of them were bought by taxi companies, but a few found private buyers. They were once a common sight, but are now very rare and again, a vehicle borne out of necessity

I bought one of these for my mom a few months ago. 2015 model year, no accidents with only 12, 000 miles on it. My mom suffers from multiple health issues and this car has given her freedom back.

As a wheelchair user, the "I will turn your ramp off!" statement made me laugh.

So this vehicle has a lot of Ford parts but it was built in the AM General plant in Mishawaka, Indiana where the Hummers were previously built. So essentially it was a Ford built in a General Motors plant.

One thing about your reviews i really like the due respect you show the cars you get unlike alot channels on here which kinda bash the cars they reviews i enjoy your channel keep up the great work

The body of that van is kinda like if a Honda Pilot & a Chevy HHR had a baby & named it MV-1!

This would be a perfect Uber/Lyft vehicle for me to have, without the mobility equipment, with all the seats, alot of space and practicality. I would love to have this.

Kimda reminds me of the checker marathon. Yes, it's our company but build using competitors parts...

There was a school in Glen Ellyn that had one to transport students, I saw it once in Wheaton when I lived out there

I own one of these. The LX model has a bit more upgrades then this DX model you tested. I really wished they were still in production! Best accessible vehicle made! No question. Interesting enough this vehicle has their own diagnostic unit because of the ramp etc.

I thought it was electric because of MV... but it has a V8.! Interesting and obscure van, the front end design kinda looks like Honda Ridgeline truck))😁

ive seen one of these driving around twice. everytime i saw it, it was at the last second and i would break my neck trying to figure out what the hell it was lol. I thought it was maybe some type of imported carrier vehicle because it was missing hubcaps and saw no type of model name. thanks for posting this video, now i know what it was lol. it was driving me crazy lol

Thank you so much for reviewing one of these, I've seen them around my city (in black) but I never knew what it was.

the plus or add ons from the factory is the rear ac unit in the trunk area -driver side and the interior ramp switch on the b pillar... yeah, you need to swing open the door first, then can activate the switch from the inside to deploy it. Those are aftermarket rims it seems, with a Full Size spare tire (all these vans came with a tire pump and that crappy tire sealant instead) i got a full size steel rim as well but luckily didnt need it yet

I used to work at the Humvee plant (next door to the MV-1 plant and part of the same company). These vans were a complete flop commercially. When production stopped, we scrapped millions of dollars in brand new parts because the demand was so hopelessly overestimated. It was insane to see how much material was thrown away.

At the time I left the company, we still had hundreds of brand new completed MV-1s on premises, rusting away because no one wanted them. I know there were even more in storage off site as well, but I don't recall ever being told an exact number.

Thank you for this video. Everytime I've seen one on the road I've wanted to find out more about them, but forgot by the time I was able to. I've always thought they were made by Honda. Like already mentioned in a comment they look like a Element in the front
