Elbow joint anatomy

preview_player
Показать описание
The elbow joint is a hinge joint largely between the humerus and ulna bones, but the radius is involved too. The radius also moves around the ulna, which isn't really an elbow thing but is still up in the elbow region. Have a look at the bony anatomy, the movements here and the ligaments that hold this joint together and help it all work.

Hey there :) Just thought I'd drop a note to let you know I've been watching your anatomy videos as additional material for my artistic anatomy course. I love how you explain the mechanical movements and the range of motion as well as the bumpy bits that are visible in the figure (landmarks) and seeing you move things gives me a better understanding of what the bones and stuff look like. I've been studying George Bridgman (his work definitely shows knowledge of anatomy but he definitely likes to change the form to make it aesthetically pleasing).

So important to learn anatomy in order to use body as evolution intend it.
When people get injuries, they should learn how important such knowledge is, but they dont really seem to have found a lot of interest for this yet, eventhough this is the most imporant thing for them.
My prediction is, that a lot of people will soon, now many are getting interested in nature, that these videos suddenly will pick up great viewnumbers like a wildfire in the dry season soon.

Thank you Sam for the awesome explanations! I have to tell you one more thing, maybe you've heard it before but you look amazingly like Hugh Laurie (Dr. Hause for those who don't know) :)

hello, my 17 yr old daughter was born with a flat elbow, apologies for not having a more medical term for that, but to date, after many dr visits, we still cannot find a diagnosis. after watching your videos, I was wondering if you would mind looking at few pics of it to see if you have any knowledge of it?
