Data Visualization Beyond Tools Principles and Approaches

This IASSIST Professional Development Webinar was originally broadcast on April 29, 2019.
It provides an overview of approaches for learning, teaching and creating data visualizations. It focuses on principles for describing and understanding visualization that can be applied across tools and data, especially on how to effectively map data to visual space.

Presenter Bio: Justin Joque is the Visualization Librarian at the University of Michigan. He completed a Ph.D. in Media Studies at the European Graduate School and a Masters of Science of Information from the University of Michigan.
