Great video, funny it is still useful 11 years later! Thank you!

Thank you for a quality video – clear and to the point. I just seen something similar in a bundle by someone else, and lost track of it. Dedicating a session to it as you have has made it easy to find.

Thanks, that is so cool - yet another great hidden feature of OSX. I guess that it only allows you to add keyboard shortcuts to already existing menu items of any given app.
I for instance am doing image tagging in Google Picasa, where I would love to get a short cut for quickly tagging with a frequently used tag by pressing a keyboard shortcut. Not possible, as Google has added no menu item to do that task.
How about context sensitive keyboard shortcuts? Is that possible? That is, if I am in say Google Picasa and press Ctrl+w I get one action, while in another task I would get another action.

How would I set a submenu item, say... in finder, file > open with > other..., to a keyboard short cut?

What about switching from function keys to standard mac keys? For example(MacBook Pro), instead of having to go to system F1, F2, etc. keys as standard function keys" button, could there be a way to switch back and forth without having to go into preferences? Like a button at the top of the screen?
