Today Melissa and I set all the Posts for the Chicken Run with the Kubota BX23S Digging the Remaining Holes

We live in Western Pa. and Have around 100 Acres of Land, About 1/2 is ours the rest is my moms, We have 4 kids and two grandchildren, 3 Golden Retrievers and one Cat. We enjoy working on our property and making improvements. We sell firewood and soon will be selling hardwood lumber.

For grins I went back five years to the beginning of OWTMs and it is so interesting to see how this channel has evolved over the years!
From the "quiet and shy Melissa", and Mike's FIRST Kubota tractor, to the very OUTSPOKEN Melissa and Mike's menagerie of the Kubota herd!!!
The editing and use of multiple cameras has really made a production video of the kind of quality that most channels do not have.

I love watching u guys work together, every project is done as best as one would ever ask for. Mike is definitely a old soul and is one of the hardest workers around . Every project gets 100% and never a short cut that’s one of the reasons I love watching every video u do . And I think u guys are possibly one of the only families that gets every person and dogs involved and never has a argument wile all working together. God bless u all and your whole family..

A post hole digger for the 3 point hitch of the tractor would be perfect for that job. Also great for planting trees and bushes. Have a productive day.

Melissa was joking about digging all the holes but the last one. Seeing the shale come out of the hole shows that would have been some more hard digging w a shovel. The mini backhoe was perfect for this project. Really awesome watching deer pass by standing in the yard. Your forest is enjoyed by so many animals and family and also the thousands of us fans! Good to hear no chickens have become prey. This is the last day of July, August/ great things coming here on your channel! Chickens never had it so good...I assume the fence line between the posts will be buried to keep out Mr/Mrs Fox in particular, however skunks have a taste for eggs too I think...
Might be worth your while to look into a timed electric chicken gate for exit/entrance of coup...

Around 1947, my Dad built a four room house. The foundation was railroad ties. Later he built two big rooms to the left, than after that added a breezeway and garage. That old part is still standing and doesn't look like it has changed or settled any differently than the newer additions with concrete footers.. We don't live there now but every few years I drive by there and check it out.

Great video Mike!, I bought a one man power auger at harbor freight and it works great at 66 it's a little hard on the back, but it's better than digging by hand!. Morgans good day!.
