I didn’t feel like it was “the right time” until I was holding my kids in my arms and it just hit me that they were a missing piece of my soul. Parenting is so hard. But they have only added to my life even on the hardest days. And truly, seeing your favorite things through your kids eyes is magical.

We didn’t want a second child. Until he arrived. Boy oh boy….what an amazing gift we are so thankful for.

Always wanted kids then turned 30 and I just didn’t want them anymore. Think I liked the IDEA of them but not the reality and at 41 I’m so thankful I realized that. I still do not want kids and I’m so happy I did not have any. I think being a parent is beautiful for the people that really want kids and are ready for the responsibility.

I love the honesty and candidness of this podcast with Kara and Nate. I love how much you all mesh together and show love and respect. I’m bought in to both your channels. I have Habit tea and Fare Drop….I’ve bought merch because you have to always support those you love. ❤️

Kara and Nate, you both are such a beautiful couple. You are wise in your decisions for children and travelling. Cheers to you both❣️

We decided against having kids and 45 years later we do not regret it. We were able to do so many things that we couldn't have done if we'd had kids. There is no right or wrong answer; only what's right for you.

I like that you keep life’s experiences open to potential. I have 2 kids with my husband and it didn’t slow us down adventure wise. We kept having so much fun, but the kids added to it! They just joined the party!

I’ve always wanted kids and to be a mother. However it never felt like “the right time” until I was holding my beautiful daughter in my arms. I respect anyone who doesn’t want kids because it is mentally taxing, but if you are waiting for the perfect moment for one it wont ever come.

Having kids is a life choice, not the default setting. There is absolutely nothing wrong with choosing not to have kids. Society expects you to, you're told growing up that one day you will, which is wrong and presumptuous.

I got married when i was 24 with the idea of having kids immediately because everyone around me was already married. When i turned 25 suddenly i didnt want kids like ever, and thank God my husband had the same idea but too afraid to communicate bcs of family’s pressure. Now i’m 35 and never regret my decision

You’ll never wake up one day and feel it’s “time.” I feel like nobody’s ever 100% ready for kids. Even if they are planned.

Love this discussion. My husband and I met when we were 28, engaged at 30, married at 31 and now 35/36. We travel a lot and enjoying that time of our lives while everyone we know had kids and immediately started a family. I never felt ready until this year but it’s because I can confidently say, I’ve checked a lot of my bucket list off. Also having kids doesn’t mean the travel had to stop.

Honestly, my mums sister (my auntie) she does not have kids, never felt like she needed and never felt "maternal" and she is such a great aunt! Like a extra mum or best friend and can talk to her about anything, go to her if I need, travel places, we have similar hobbies too! And it's maybe not stereotypical, but from my perspective, it is awesome. So I def understand how she feels ^^
