As a Nordic person, I can confirm have no idea what a washcloth is and why I would need one. I thought everyone in the world just used their hands.

Washcloths, or "flannels" as my English family calls them, are personal items and something that you would carry with you, like deoderant or a toothbrush.

Separate blankets are the way to go... Once you get used to it there's no going back

As a Norwegian i can confirm that we do indeed use our hands to wash our bodies in the shower. At least this is what I am familiar with. I have no excuse for the lack of conditioner

The separate blankets is a smart idea! But in that case, I would want a giant one for each of us, not a single person sized one 😂

I don't know anyone who uses a 'washcloth' to have a shower. We use hands.

I have never came across a hotel that provides wash clothes/shower sponges… I would expect you to bring that yourself, just like you would bring your own personal hygiene item

Never knew anyone used wash cloths IN the shower 😱🤯 My grandma used them, to clean important bits on days we didn't shower. (I'm Dutch)

In most countries where the hotels lack wash clothes it is because they are viewed as a personal item, not shareable. Think of it like a toothbrush, you don't expect a shareable on of those that are cleaned after each guest. In many countries washcloths are thought of the same way.

...you don't use your hand to wash your body? I find that so weird 🤣 I use my hand and soap. It's not difficult, haha.

"Do they use their hands?" Asked as if it were something absurd, lol. Yes, of course they do. Most people in the world actually use their hands. I, for one. I have always hated washclothes and honestly don't see any use of them. My hands are delicate when they need to be delicate and rough when they need to be rough. Why should hands not be enough? Aren't they always available and perfectly fit for the purpose since before homo sapiens even existed? Aren't they cleaner than any washcloth since you are washing them at that very moment? What's wrong with your hands that you need special equipment to wash your body? Or is it just the pleasure to have one more thing to care for in the laundry? Of course I am not criticizing those who use them - if they like it, why shouldn't they be free to do so? But I find it comical that Kara seems to find so strange that someone might use hands to wash one's body. Sounds almost like a Victorian era frame of mind :-D

As a Swede, No we don’t use washcloths but we exfoliate our skin with either glowes or body scrub. And in some hotels there are conditioner, but most people doesn’t use conditioner actually (or more like some don’t need it.) And yes, we sleep with separate blankets, because we usually like to keep a 5 meter distance between ourselves and literally everyone else

I've never been to Scandinavia, but rarely found washcloths in many European hotels. I like for washing my face so always pack a quick dry microfiber one. Even in a.m. it dries by time I'm dressed and packed up.

Hehe we use our hands, wash cloths are something we use for babies, toddlers and people that need help to wash ;) Or you could ask for it, im sure they have on demand

Different strokes for different folks. I always bring my own shampoo, conditioner bc of curly hair and my own puff puff (they dry very quickly and take up zero room). My own blanket? Genius!

As a Swede, yes, we use our hands. I don't like wash cloths and have only seen my grandmother having one. The conditioner though? They probably forgot about it. And the single duvets are standard for everyone, including couples. I like a lighter feather duvet and my fiancé likes his warm and synthetic.
