Question 4ii)
I noticed a slight mistake as I was using your video and the mark scheme to do the paper.
The shape of the ester is a pentagon ring not a hexagon ring. But great work love your videos, they're very helpful:)

On the last question, how come there are only 3 H environments on the HNMR Spectrum yet the structure drawn has 5 H environments? (3 on the benzene ring plus the other 2)

at 47:57 i have never been taught this method for working out percentage yield, I've always done real yield/theoretical yield, where does this other method come from? Does it get the same answer?

for 2eii it says that the reaction conditions for reaction 3 is "Naoh" do not accept "warm/boil" but in the (i think january 2013 paper) conditions for the same reaction was "hot aqeous NaOH" so which would you reccommend using and is there a way to know whether it should be hot or not

You know for the NMR question, how would you know to link the R-CH group to the HC-C=O group, i'm struggling to understand putting NMR components together

how do you know which way around the ester group is facing? Like if you look at the markscheme one way is 1 mark the other way is two marks so how do you know which way around it is
