This entire event makes me rethink Albedo’s words in his story quest. He said “If one day I lose control, destroy Mondstadt, destroy everything, can I rely on you to stop me.” I think it has a double meaning. The first one is the one we already know, that he, under the influence of corrosion and Durin, becomes corrupted. The second meaning I think is that if he ever loses and gets replaced by the failed Albedos from the human project, and if the imposter poses a threat to Mondstadt, he hopes that the traveller won’t hesitate to kill the imposter because of the friendship between the traveller and Albedo. Or maybe I’m just reading too much into it but tbh I think it makes sense

albedo and durin are both created by gold, which makes them brothers. And since the impostor was 'created' by the remain of durin, this is basically a sibling messing around with another sibling situation.
