When I first heard this album - in a friend's room at English boarding school Summer 1976 - I listened to it over and over again repeatedly, long after all my friends had left for the pub, until I got sick from smoking too much hash. Sweet dreams.

Quite simply, this is among the finest 19 minutes of recorded music history. Across any genre, era or performing format.

Back in 1969 during the week of the rocket launch to the moon our elementary school teacher told us that because of the advanced technology by the year 1980 we would be taking our whole class on "field trips" to the moon. Well I never got that field trip.... But we got Weather Report on vinyl converted to digital! I will take that instead happily!

One of my FAVORITE progressive jazz albums of all time, alongside IMAGINARY VOYAGE BY JLP AND ARBOUR ZENA BY KEITH JARRET

Some melody missing in Herandnu I guess... Like stereo doesn't work.
