If you have the settings set to require a PIN number to put in drive, that's never going to happen in the first place. In a carjack situation, the Tesla automatically puts itself in park if a opens to prevent rollaway. The carjacker would have to demand your PIN.

Yeah, that's the reason 😂 I mean they're just not that interesting as vehicles to be stolen, usually car thieves are car guys, and they're more likely to grab something they have a good knowledge of, and know there's interest in them.. Also, there's too much work and headache to make them "clean" with how everything is connected and controlled from a remote location. Sure you can clone some junked one, but it's ton of work and the pay just ain't worth it. I mean, parting one out could be an option, but since some of the features, you would have to quickly kill all power to prevent tracking and such and put it on a trailer.. That's also not that appealing 😂
