King Baldwin IV of Jerusalem, also known as the Leper King owing to his disability to leprosy, ruled the Crusader kingdom of Jerusalem for 11 years of his life right from when he was 13. His short life of 24 years might not be remembered for great military campaigns and victories, however, he had defeated the Muslim ruler Sultan Salahuddin multiple times. Baldwin IV was an incredible king, especially considering all he went through in his short life. He faced numerous military invasions, coped with a debilitating disease, and was still an effective leader of his people.
