Investing and Flipping Sports Cards more specifically Basketball Cards is hot right now in 2020! Whether it be Luka Doncic, LeBron James, Trae Young, Ja Morant, Zion Williamson, Jimmy Butler, Kevin Durant, Anthony Davis or even Bol Bol, Tyler Herro or Michael Porter Jr, the entire sports card market has gone up consistently in 2020 and the anticipation is that it will continue to grow as it gains even more popularity among sports fans, collectors, and people just trying to make some money while having fun. Even in a high market, steals and deals can definitely be found so go out and Buy Now!
In this video, I combine the knowledge I have learned about basketball cards from watching channels like PSA Collector and Packman Cards with my own own extensive knowledge of NBA Basketball players, their statistics and fantasy basketball to show you which basketball cards I am investing in for long term holds or quick flips. I do get tempted and buy some Personal Collection (PC) Cards as well.
I try to apply unique ways of deciding which players to invest in such as looking at Per 36 Minute statistics to identify players that are likely to break solely based on getting more minutes. It worked really well with MPJ and some other players with insane per 36 minute stats are Boban Marjonovic, Christian Wood and Bobby Portis.
Identifying new players to invest in has become a daily routine and I enjoy sharing my pickups with you. Videos are posted every Tuesday, Thursday and sometimes Sunday consistently. I show the price I paid for each card as well as the stats of the players I am buying and I even throw in some highlights if I start to ramble.
Some fundamentals to consider when buying basketball cards is that in general, cards will be the cheapest during the off-season, start to rise during the regular season and then peak in the playoffs. Depending on the player in question of course.
