Referendum on Russia: Kyiv and Western allies call the vote a 'sham'

Many Ukrainians have fled Russian-occupied regions for territory that Ukraine's forces have recaptured in recent weeks.
The so-called referendums held in some of those regions have been denounced as illegal by Western allies.

They say something like 98 percent voted to join Russia but I can't get 98 percent of people to agree that oxygen is good. On a hot button topic such as this I would have expected a much tighter vote. The complete lack of any kind of realistic outcome points to a sham vote.

This is a Do-or-Die situation for those russians who were drafted to join the partial mobilization to deploy on those territory that were annexed. Their task is to defend the captured areas in ukraine and retaliate ukrainian invaders who's on mission is to retake back. Probably smart, but still a crazy tactics for Putins.
