Today is the Meal Plan With Me to my '2 Week Grocery Challenge' this fortnight, I will be doing for the next 12 months. I will be working with just under $30 per person per week. As I shop fortnightly to save money I will have my budget set at $200 ($50 per person x 4) for the main shop in my first week. The main shop is for the 2 weeks. Then $30 (seeing how I go with this to start) for my top up shop in the second week. Top up shops for me are for extra fresh fruit/veg, things I may have run out of unexpectedly and then things that may go on sale that I want to take advantage of.

In our house we use clothes pegs in the kitchen to seal things closed..cereal bags folded over with clothes peg and kept in box ..do the same with big bags of chips and dry pasta..has worked well for us for years

Interesting fact: my sisters friend, her family owns the San Remo pasta company. They make the Coles brand, the one you show in the video. Also, you could try making pitta chips from the pita bread instead of normal chips very easy and very economical.

Freezer stash is great 👍 mine is small so can’t have much, but it’s only myself and my daughter. I usually go through what I have first before I even shop. So good to see you do that too 💜

Cant wait to follow along with you, yes bigger cuts of meats are the way to go, cook once, then turn into many meals, big pork roast dinner, then make fried rice, chop up to make a curry, stirfrys, then freeze for later on. endless.👍💐

I do not mind the cheap vegetables . We do not have a choice anyway being on pensions. Love the idea of the frozen toasties.

When you say you could use a roast and then use some of it for stir fry/stew etc do you mean cook the whole roast then use left overs for the next meal or do you mean cut up some of the roast before cooking the roast and keep aside for next meal?

With the 2kg of frozen chicken tenders could you try to snap off half or a quarter while frozen so you don't have to cook them all

Great videos is there a Coles or Woolworths near Costco you go to? There is both near mine and Because.
Everyone is shopping at Costco the stuff dairy, bakery, fruit vege and frozen meals pasta, meat even are all cheap so cheaper than making it lol I got 1kg red delicious apples $1.45 last week and a packet 6 oat and raisin bakery cookies .86c so froze biscuits individual and milk always a winner. This was Woolworths but Coles good to and use rewards at both shops.
