I am very sorry for the hostage's mother and understand her grief. The US media should equally platform the thousands of Palestinian mothers mourning the deaths of their children, young and adult, by the US-backed IDF.

I don't have any good answers or solution to this conflict honestly but Jessica said there was an offer the day after the terrorist attack to return the hostages in exchange for not going after Hamas for what they did and while I totally understand how people would find it appalling that Israel rejected the deal I can also understand the position that if they had accepted that deal it would essentially send the message to Hamas that they could continue to carry out terrorist attacks without consequences as long as they took hostages as bartering chips each time

I honestly haven’t looked into this but I listen to a lot of different news channels and commentators and I heard literally the opposite of what Jessica just said. Yes, Israel killed one of the top hamas guys who was in Iran but I heard recently Israel said yes to the last deals that had been laid out and that even Blinken was saying all they need is for hamas to agree but they repeatedly would not.

I guess part of it could just be how you view the offer..if you view it as good then you would say they turned it down but if you view it as a nonstarter you would say you have not been given a realistic offer and are waiting.

Hostages where not executed by Hamas. They are precious to them. To exchange foe the 10000 plus hostages in Israel's famous dungeons where they are held WITHOUT CHARGES. NOR PRISONS THESE ARE DIFFRENT
