I still have my Carrack. It survived the Galaxy, Polaris, and even the Odessy. I'll never get rid of it. Even if it dies... my Carrack is Home. C8R and Nursa make mine a full-blown mobile medical hospital to be deployed where ever.

Just make the side doors open CIG. Actually if they make it so ships will not blow up any more then Haulers will use nothing but the Carrack because you can not get the cargo out of it.

It does feel like the carrack has just been... forgotten about. There are rooms that are meant to do stuff and they simply don't. I hope whenever exploration is properly introduced along with jump points then it will find its light again. But for now it is a shadow of its past self. The fact it cant store any cargo now in 3.23 is nothing short of criminal.

There's literally no other ship with more functions in the game. Even future ships can't come close to the Carrack. Maybe the Odyssey, but also no, because the Odyssey does not come with THREE swappable modules that give way to many gameplay combinations. Carrack is not only alive, but it is probably the best investment and the ship that is most exciting to see evolving.

Carrack is home. Carrack is love. If you have one, keep it. You'll thank me one day. If you are considering getting one, invest in the Carrack. You'll fall in love with it.

I mean, all of it's functionality isn't even there yet, so it can't be dead, it's never been alive.

The Med Bed still heals more than the rover bed, so it still has a purpose.

The Polaris is a corvette torpedo boat, the Carrack is designed to explore and find undiscovered wormholes.

If this game ends up being what it should, there should be competition between all manufacturers for similar role ships, so there will (and should) be a lot of redundancy.

The carrack was the first big ship I purchased with new cash, with that said I call it the make believe ship. It just needs a rework, alot of wasted space. I don't really see the point of having two bridges in a ship of that size. It also needs a second ground entrance

The carrack lore is unique. Every carrack has a secret history in the UEE military. Every Carrack was build and used by the UEE Navy before sold to civilian customers.

One things for sure, the future biggies owe a mountain of thanks to the lessons learned from the Carrack, 890, Reclaimer, all designed before gameplay loops. They were needed to showcase CiGs skill, help fuel the dream and fund the future. CiG will return to honor the legacy ships.... i mean the Retali.... opps, well the Freelancer
but LOOK at how shiny the new ones are!!!
