'Everything's Alright' from To the Moon, Fan Cover

I finally beat this game :o and I have very conflicting feelings about it. The first act is SO GOOD, definitely one of the best things I've ever seen in a video game. But by the fourth act, I have never been so disappointed... I think if it had only been mediocre at the beginning, I wouldn't have minded so much, but it should have been the best thing ever and instead the ending was really weak, IMHO. I was sad in all the wrong ways :(

BUT! I fell completely in love with this song the first time I heard it. I've been watching supershigi on YouTube for years and I love her original version so much -- but I don't have at all the same kind of voice she does, so I just accepted that mine will sound very different from hers. :) I also had to take it up several steps to be able to sing it, since I have such a high soprano voice and she has such a sweet mezzo.

This one was a fun challenge because it's a live single-take, instead of the more complicated multi-piece videos that I can do in pieces. I recorded a few harmony lines but in the end I decided not to keep them because I like it better just plain like this. I hope you like it!

ETA: I'm sorry it goes blank at the end. My cat jumped on the keyboard and messed up my computer while it was rendering, and I just noticed! Oops. :3

I'm working on a whole bunch of new songs. I just bought a new microphone for stage performance, but it turns out it works really well for recording, so you'll hear that later ... but for now, I just really wanted to get this one out soon because I'm excited and happy. I love singing so very much!

That was absolutely wonderful.  I have never played To the Moon, and honestly, I haven't even heard of it, but songs like this, performed so brilliantly, really makes me want to play it.  Thank you for putting up such a great cover!

The feel of this cover reminds me specifically of Mrs.Teapot in "Tale as Old as Time" from Beauty and the Beast. You really have such a beautiful, classic, voice Lauren! <3

What was disappointing for you in the ending? I personally loved it, it was extremely bitter sweet which was what the game was going for!

Will You play finding paradise, the sequel? It's different in a lot of way and a wonderful sequel, maybe you'll like that one more
