I recently played the game To The Moon for the first time, and it moved me to the point that it has become one of my favorite narratives! I had already heard and loved this piece by Laura Shigihara prior to playing, but after actually experiencing the context it was written for, it's become about a hundred times more beautiful to me. I really wanted to pay a short tribute to the game and its music, so I hope you enjoy it – and that you get a chance to play the game someday if you haven't already!

This is the first song my daughter ever heard. We played it for her in the hospital, and on the drive home. This has been her lullaby, the song that calms her when nothing else can. I know you aren't really uploading here anymore, but please--never delete the music here. You never know how much this means to people. A four year old is learning to sing with this very song, and your voice. Sometimes I hear her in her room, when she's trying to help herself fall asleep, singing:

I listened to this cover 7 years ago by chance the same day a person very dear to me passed away, not many things kept me going but this song was one of them. Every now and then it pops up in my feed, but every September I come back to it without fail. I haven't even played To The Moon yet, but I hope to do so soon.

I know you might not see this, but I would just like to thank you very much for creating such an incredible cover of an already magnificent song and for giving me such a beautiful memory to remember him by.

I don't understand it. I honestly don't. I've never played To the Moon, never heard this music, nor even heard of this game until now. Yet I honestly couldn't stop myself from crying to this song. Maybe it's the simple tune of the music box, maybe it's the voice, or maybe it's the words, but something about it made me cry like a baby, and I just don't understand it.

I listened to this song before I had even heard of To The Moon and I was confused about the words.
Now that I've played it and heard it again I'm like *I understand everything now* and cry for 30 minutes

This song is nice to come back to sometimes, the way you sing it makes me want to cry. It makes me think of me and younger brother's relationship. He has autism and it was always hard to talk to him. Even now, I try and try but after a few words it becomes silent. I actually sang this to him once when he was crying and he calmed down and fell asleep. I felt so happy and this song always makes me think of that. (Wow sorry for that long personal comment.)
