The price difference between both 77" models cannot be ignored. It's a £2000 difference in the UK currently. The A95L is hands down better but it's incredibly difficult to make a reasonable argument for it over it's competitors when price is taken into account.

... It's also worth noting the LG will see better discounts and bundles this year than the Sony.

I replaced my lg c1 with a Sony A80L and there is no going back, sony’s procesing is on another level. Games look better, movies and shows too, everything has more detail.

In Germany at current prices. You can purchase a 65inch LG G3, A playstation 5, and a 850euro ($1000 dollar) soundbar, for the price of a 65inch A95L alone. The A95L might have a 20-30% nicer picture, but the price to performance of the LG is outstanding. Especially when you factor in the fact the LG has 4 hdmi 2, 1 slots

As much as I love the 77” A95L it’s hard to justify paying $1, 500 more than the 77” G3. Also the G3 comes with a 5 year warranty.

I bought a G3, and I agree there are some color differences but sometimes you can’t even tell. Sorry but it doesn’t seem to justify the price difference. Besides the design of the G3 being flushed with wall looks so much better. I’m not a gamer so I only focus on the image. Also both tv in Dolby Vision look pretty much the same.

In Denmark is $4, 825 for Sony. LG costs 3, 406 so I choose LG :)

All of these comments are acting like these TVs are even in the same price category.

If money is no object get the Sony and an extended warranty. If money is consideration get the G3. Currently the price difference between them both is so massive it seems silly to compare them honestly.

Really great comparison. Would love it if you could compare the Sony A80L to the A95L so we could see how close they are in picture quality. I think many Sony fans are waiting for that.

I bought the Sony A95k last year to replace my LG C9 however, I ended up returning it. I have a glass sliding door in my entertainment room and can have the blinds down for complete darkness but in the day time I never had to lower the blinds with my C9 but with the Sony QD A95K the grey levels were raised and the picture was washed out. Until QD Oleds resolve that issue of raised grey levels in light rooms it’s a no go. Am I the only one that experienced that?

I really want the A95L, but the huge price difference makes it hard to make up my mind about buying it.
Where I live, the 55" A95L is almost $1000 more expensive than the 55" G3.
I can't afford to pay an extra $1000 for a small improvement in color accuracy. I do want the A95L though.

It has been mentioned now several times.. that aside from color.. the Sony's processing is superior for low bit rate content/streaming... yet no Youtube video has shown this difference... with HDR content they look very similar and hardly justifies the price difference

Is it me or are the colors a bit more saturated on G3? I'm curious what picture setting where the TVs both on? Thanks for the great video!

I can literally make my lg G3 looks like this with adjusted settings plus it’s cheaper

Just side-by-side picture comparison the whole time! I love it - thanks! :)

Is it just me, because I don’t see the difference in both TVs. And I don’t even see the hype of the A95L in this video. The G3 look more vibrant. Maybe I have to see it in person though. I guess I will go for either the S90C 75” or the LG C3 77” . Because both TVs really don’t seem far off from those TVs in this video IMO

The price difference is $1800 plus tax for a 77”. That’s a huge difference. I’d pay $500 extra for a a95L that’s about it.

Because all the tech YouTubers I follow eulogising about how good the Sony A95L starting thinking I'd made a massive mistake buying the 77" G3, then I watched this video.
I'm fine now because to me there's hardly any difference at all. Yes they trade differences through this video and tbh I think the G3 holds its own.
Trust me...the G3 is amazing and guys remember this, when you're watching TV you don't have 2 tvs side by side flicking ya eyes from one set to the other. Also, the processing on the G3 is FANTASTIC, plus it's way cheaper than the Sony. I think Sony have a cheek to ask over £2000 more than LG.

I really want to champion the A95L but I’m returning it because the panel has scratches out of the box. If you pay the Sony premium, the TV should arrive in pristine condition. I’m now thinking LG is the way to go!

While you would need at least a decent sound bar and stand with the LG, also keep in mind you will need to buy warranty coverage for the Sony to match the 5 year LG warranty. So, it's a wash. The Sony is the better tv, but that cost differential is pretty large at the moment.
