I ordered this guy when he came out and still have him. Uses him for a week and he's been on my shelf since. As an OG G1 fan, you don't know how cool it was to finally have a functioning Soundwave.

The pre-g1 and Japan only versions of a lot of g1 toys were functional.

Both proto-Megatron and Browning fired little pellets, pre-blaster was a functional radio, and preceptor was a functional microscope. Unreleased was a flashlight and binoculars, who cameoed in Dreamwave comics.

You can buy a cheap, small, unpowered mono speaker and connect it to the shoulder/headphone socket. Then, you can paste some G1 Soundwave voice/sound effect samples and now it can speak!
