Now when everyone complains about goats and wants dps, look at the comment section of this video, there are a ton of people making the same complaint and even thinks goats is more fun.

As a support hero I don’t like playing against dive... but as an overwatch player I don’t like how versatile Brigitte is, even against dive.

I remember reading a forum thread where people were generally being dispirited by the (at that time) very dominant dive comp. People were calling out for all sorts of nerfs and buffs to phase out the dive comp. Jeff posted in that thread, saying something like they didn't want to overly control the meta, because that would lead to an unending balancing game, and that they only wanted to focus on nerfing / buffing heroes because they were unbalanced as a hero, not as a hero part of a meta. This leads to comp innovation, and to me it seems to be working very well, especially with the esports scene where we sometimes see some really strange comps and strategies being played, inspiring people to do the same, or try their own thing. I think that's a great attitude on the developers' side.

Other than the Misfits victory at Dreamhack, Lunatic-Hai's victory in APEX Season 2, versus Runaway, was even more telling of the dominance/shift of dive.

A bout that was dubbed "Kaiser vs Miro, " it was merely a disguise for the real storyline: Dive vs Deathball/Winston vs Reinhardt.

There's no coincidence that the entire metagame shifted to dive immediately afterwards, even without patches. Let's not forget that it was also Miro who revolutionized Overwatch by revealing the proper way to play Winston. And how Lunatic-Hai pretty much standardized the fundamentals of Dive, especially through the proper use of Dva and understanding the importance of the tank line, rather than the DPS.

This is by far the absolute best series and channel to show to new players who want to get into serious competitive overwatch. Wish this were the tutorial for the real overwatch game; every single player no matter the skill level should be forced yes, forced to watch this. Then maybe we would actually start to have better and better games with actual teamwork in our ranked matches! LOL

Dive kind of had it's roots in beta/pre hero limit as well. I forget the team that would run it, but double Winstons were absolutely brutal.
