I have Tourette's. The most common way that people react is they laugh because they think I'm, like, trying to be funny. There was this one interview where they didn't tell me they weren't gonna cut the questions out. So I'm I'm sitting there answering the questions like, uh-huh. They start asking me question, I'm like and then everyone's like, that's so funny. And I'm always left incredibly offended by that.

I can relate to her so much. I have these ticks and when I told someone that they kinda laughed. I was so confused until they kept laughing and saying like ticks and they tried to imitate it. So I’m kinda afraid that if I get a tick someone will laugh. I have also been told to stop and that it was annoying every time I ticked and that kinda hurt like I can’t control it. 😢

I have tics but not Tourette's. My child psychologist said to me when I was a teen it was an anxiety response. I've had tics from caffeine which is bad, but when I'm really tired or need to stay awake for something and its early I need caffeine. I also love chocolate. I'm just chilling out watching videos having tics and I'm not caffeinated, nervous, or anything. Theyre noticeable in my face and eyes. Twitching tics occasionally. I've had them in my fingers, toes, shoulders. I squinted my eyes so much once my eye lids were hurting and folding. They hurt so bad I was losing my ability to see. I went to the ER for eye ointment. That never happened again thank God.
