I always had the feeling that any riff that would syncopate against the drums would feel extremely groovy. The example I always use is Kashmir from Led Zeppelin, the 3/4 guitar against the 4/4 drums makes the steady beat of the drums feel heavier or easier to get along with. Great vid, you should do a video-explanation of this.

Great video. I like how you’re not using your teach to focus on one genre of music. It’s cool to see you’re using overkill ( my band just started covering electro-violence) helmet, cake, Jeff Buckley. I think it’s Important to show people that timing signatures like you showed in the video are done in all different styles. It makes it easier for people to get the grasp of that as well as to maybe turn them on to different sides to rock or metal. Thumbs up to you. Keep up the good work love watching your videos.
