Why doesn't every band saw have a slide table | Woodworking

I have seen dedicated slide tables on band saws in the manufacturing world and have wondered why they haven't made they way to the garage woodworkers shop. Honestly this might be the best upgrade to a band saw i have ever done. there will be more upgrades and how to videos to come with bandsaw slide table

Beautiful. I use my bandsaw for as much as possible. Blades last longer due to more teeth, hardly ever need to be cleaned. Its a safer tool than the table saw and a good bandsaw with a good blade can cut things just as fast.

I do as much of my lumber milling on the bandsaw as i can then run it through the helical head planer on the side.

I've been thinking of putting a sliding table on my table saw and bandsaw for a while. Thanks for the video!

This is awesome. Top of my list. A jig for sawing firewood into usable boards is what I need it for and many other uses.

Want plans for that. I know all band saws are different but plans can be customized. WOW out of the park Izzy and that would solve my no joiner problem any longer and save me a tone of space in my tiny shop.

It is a lot of fun to see you get excited about something like this. I was about to comment that I don't have room in my one car garage to add a lot of bulk to my bandsaw and then you said I could get rid of my cheap, lousy floor hogging jointer (brand will go unnamed). Hmmm.... have to rethink the idea. Darn you! Somehow I know that means more money invested in my shop - somebody help me with my addiction to wanting to have everything Izzy has!
