I love how much empathy Simon has for the Candy Queen. He probably assumed that in this universe Princess Bubblegum was crazy instead of the Ice King due to how quickly he comes to the conclusion of the opposite when the curse is undone. Even when she was going to mix him he still was focused on helping her instead of defeating her, he himself was in a similar situation not long ago after all.

i think its really cool how the same way ice king kept a little bit of simon in wanting to kidnap princesses(because "betty my princess", but not knowing that reason), meanwhile candy queen kept a little bit of PB in wanting to kill the winter king, like wanting revenge but not knowing or remembering why
the way the ice crown madness affects people is just wild

i wonder if Winter King's spell actually involved taking an aspect of Bubblegum's personality while exchanging it with the crown's madness, even Candy Queen having an aggressive infatuation is reminiscent of Ice King while Winter King remembers Betty but somehow doesn't miss her.

I love how the crown's madness projected itself as something that takes bubblegum's passion for creating candy people and twisting it into a concept of mixing other substances with sugar to create something new, of which she intends to actually accomplish in a literal sense now with the obsession influence she's under. 😂

I love how *obvious* the twist is in retrospect. Winter King refusing to say anything more than “I pulled myself out of it bro” was sus as hell! We all saw Ice King, that’s not something you can just will yourself out of. And then Candy Queen’s similarities to Ice King, fuck it was so obvious but the concept of the multiverse really helped them burry the lead here.
