Do Animals Go To Heaven?

Which animals go to heaven and which ones do not? You may be surprised to find out.

I heard this said once, and it still makes me laugh...

Revelation 5:13
"Then I heard *every creature in heaven* and on earth and under the earth and on the sea, and all that is in them, saying: "To him who sits on the throne and to the Lamb be praise and honor and glory and power, for ever and ever!"

Now right off the bat it's easy to dismiss the word "creature" as meaning all entities in Heaven. All the saints, all the angels. But the context of the verse is stating - specifically *creatures* in *heaven, earth, underground, on the sea and in the sea.* So animals. Not saints, not angels. Now we could say that "heaven" being used in this Bible verse is just referring to the sky. The setting for Revelation Chapter 5 is the Heaven where God resides. And the Bible verse does say, "all that is in them." *All* the creatures in _heaven._ We know from other Bible verses that animals are spoken about being in Heaven. Jesus having a horse of His own. That's an animal specifically from Heaven. We know animals have degrees of sentience and they each have a spirit. Again the purpose of the Bible is to make the focus - Jesus and the Gospel. The only information we need to know is, how come Jesus is our Savior. Anything outside of that isn't nearly important but we can speculate based on clues in the Bible about questions and matters that while not pertinent at all to the Gospel Message, are still mysterious and invite investigation. Like, "Do animals go to Heaven?" God gave me a dream when I was 6 years old. In it I was in Heaven and saw my recently deceased pet dog. And lots of other Christians have had dreams or visions like this :)

The first Eden had animals, so why shouldn’t the restored Eden?

If animals truly possess individual personhood (psyche in Greek), I don’t know why they wouldn’t end up in heaven as some of God’s beloved creations. On the other hand, if they’re just furry puppets, animated by God, I think we’ll still have a joyous reunion in heaven — only this time with the person behind the furry personalities.

This got me thinking about meeting the God who gave me all my precious fur babies and what it would be like to meet a single person who embodied all of them.

Now meeting God is an unimaginable thing … but meeting the mind of all my beloved pets? That brings it down to merely indescribable. My heart would just explode with love. Even if animals do have personhood, God is the one who gave them their personalities and gave me the experiences … so I’d still gush / melt / explode with love.

And this got me thinking about meeting other people in heaven, of connecting with them (their minds) in a similarly intimate way.

How silly that I had to imagine meeting my pets in heaven to make meeting God seem more real! I’m crying just anticipating it.

Im going to miss her, she had to be put down and was pronounced dead at 1:33 pm at EST. Tomorrow was going to be her 11th birthday. Molly, you were such a good girl, I will always love and miss you.

Idk why some animals, especially dogs and cats wouldn't go to heaven. They have souls. U can see that by their emotions, love etc.
I lost my first and best dog 8 months ago. I've never seen such loving creature in my entire life. Not even human. She gave me her whole heart.

.. animals have a spirit too.. animals spirits go to heaven too.. you remeet your endless love spirit friends in heaven.. you can also remeet them on earth in your this lifetime if they inspirit a newly created earthly body near you..

I believe if you have a connection with God as strong as your connection with the animal you may have lost then yes. God will give you your reward in heaven. Whether it's a cat, dog or whatever. Spirit created matter.

Even if animals did have a soul, have you ever heard of an animal repenting of its sin and trusting Jesus Christ as its Lord and Savior? That is the standard by which all will be judged.

Wrong. There will be animals in heaven but animals don't go to heaven. God made humans in a different way. God made Adam in his own image (Gen.1:26-27) and then breath life into him. (Gen. 2:7) Animals God just created. Adam got to name the animals. (Gen. 2:19)

Short answer NO. Scripture is clear about who/what enters heaven and how. Animals aren't included.

Simple Answer is we dont know if animals go to heaven but we do know animals ARE in heaven. Jesus returns for the battle of armageddon on a horse. So there are indeed animals in Heaven....but that doesnt means animals have an eternal soul like humans do...that only means if an animal is in heaven it wont die.

Human has the knowledge of good and evil, therefore, human may go either up or down. Unlike human, animals know no sin as they don't have the knowledge of good and evil, then where would they go after life here on earth?
