Do Pets Go to Heaven?

Animals may not be able to have a personal relationship with the Lord as people can but all of creation knows God and acknowledges Him.

My son asked me this question when he was 6. I told him that God is trustworthy with everything we care about. He cares for everything we do, but much more than we can.

All creation returns to the creator. It is well documented in scripture that animals are in heaven which is our temporary home before we return with LORD via riding on horseback to rule and reign with Him. It is written that those who delight themselves in the Lord that He will give them the desires of their hearts. Psalm 37:4

I lost my cat today. I only had him for almost nine months and it pains me.
I saw how he struggled and fought until the end. I felt like he didn't wants to go but he had no choice. He couldn't take it anymore. What i want right now is his happiness. I want him to go to heaven and play around with other pets without experiencing sickness nor pain. I already miss him so much.

This question seems to always come up when our own pet passes away. We grieve our pet as a loved one, and that questions is often asked as part of the grief process. There is absolutely nothing wrong with grieving the loss of a pet and even praying for our pet. It is reflective of the emotion and capacity to love that God has given us. Once some time has passed, and we are able to continue on, that question does not ring as loudly. For me, the reason for that is because I TRUST GOD and HIS goodness. I don't know the answer to the question of whether our pets will be in Heaven or part of the "new Earth" that is spoken of in Revelation. However, as a Christian, what we DO know is that God is the All-Knowing, All-Powerful, Just, Merciful Creator, just to name a few of His attributes. He is incapable of injustice or evil. Therefore, if anyone has the right to determine these things, it is God and God alone. I'd rather have HIM be the One who determines destinies and absolutely no one else! He alone is Worthy. Who else would you rather determine these things? A president or other world leader? A famous entertainer? A politician? A robot? You? Me? I say none of the above. Only God is able to determine all of these things with mercy as well as justice. The truth is we do not know thae answers to many questions, and neither does John Piper or any other "person". God reveals to us what we need and should know, and the rest we trust HIM on.

I’m going to have to put my precious cat Sam down at the vet tomorrow. He has been with me for 11 years and he’s probably older than that. The poor guy has lost control of his bowels and can barely stand up. I don’t want to imagine eternity without that cat or any of the other wonderful animals I’ve had in my life. But Sam has been in a special place in my heart for a long while now. And now I’m starting to cry. T_T

Before my grandfather died he talked to his dead relatives, including his dogs that have passed on. He told his brother I’ll see you tomorrow and died that night. That experience gave me great comfort knowing I will see my dogs again. 🥰🐾

Pets have spirits not souls, I believe animals will be heaven, because the spirits of the living return to God, why would God give us pets, family, and not let us see them again.

Animals don't need salvation because they did not rebel against God and sin in the Garden of Eden like man did. Animals are not created in God's image, but they are part of His creation, under His dominion. Saying animals wouldnt be in Heaven would be like saying there won't be any trees in Heaven. I don't think so...but just my opinion. In reality, I think those of us who are saved will be so overwhelmed with worship and joy of the Lord, our beloved pets won't be a high priority. There is no Biblical evidence supporting our reunion with pets in Heaven. The best we can do is hope. Then again, when we're with Jesus in Heaven nothing else will matter. Everything else will seem small in comparison to finally being with our Lord for all eternity.

Bella passed this morning..15 years of joy. If they do go to Heaven..then God is abundantly merciful.

Recently, a Hospice nurse shared the final words from people just before their deaths. Most reported seeing loved ones who said they had come to help them make the transition to the next life. Many also reported seeing their former pets as well. The nurse said these patients were not impaired by drugs or experiencing psychotic episodes. I hope to see all my dogs when I get to Heaven because it wouldn’t be Heaven if they weren’t there.

My pets will be with me in Heaven - don't matter what anyone thinks. They have helped me in life tremendously.... God wants us to be happy in paradise and it says "eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart imagined, for what God has prepared for so how can God deny us happiness in Paradise without our earthly pet 😇 angels +
