QANTAS A380 QF1 Economy Class - Sydney to London via Singapore, SYD & SIN Lounges (NOV 2024) (4K)

After several months of Domestic and Shorter International Flights, it was time to sit on a plane for an entire day, and some...

Prior to the flight leaving, there was the mandatory visit to the lounge to indulge in some light refreshments. (Lounge access courtesy of Frequent Flyer status).

The flight left on time, and whilst mostly full, 88 E & F remained empty (for both the flight to Singapore and to London).

Food offered was good, and before long we were at Singapore, arriving 10-15 minutes early.

The is enough time between flights to quickly head to the lounge... After knocking back some Salt & Pepper Squid, and a Club Sandwich, washed down with a Cognac it was time to head back to Gate D46 for security screening, and boarding.

Due to favourable tail winds, the flight was delayed slightly due to the morning curfew at London Heathrow.

Once the flight departed, the meal service was provided very quickly so we could get as much rest/sleep as possible.

Drinks & Snacks were constantly offered throughout the flight, with Breakfast served 90 minutes before landing.

Due to a still earlier arrival time, the flight was put in a holding pattern, arrival was just slightly prior to the expected 6:15am.

Overall a great flight, especially the London based crew on the SIN to LHR flight who were awesome.

i scored an economy seat on the second deck of an A380 flight (LAX - MEL) then covid cancelled by trip. I was so excited because it was a window seat with that little 'cubbie hole' between the seat and the window!

Just discovered your channel and loving your videos! What camera do you film with? Your footage is great. Do you ever have a problem filming in airports or on the plane? I got told off not long ago when I filmed from a lounge onto the tarmac! This was in a small town in New Zealand and I was really shocked. The guy on the front desk in the lounge gave me a speel about people's privacy....blah, blah, blah. I love filming in lounges and out onto the tarmac and felt very pissed off. Anyway...just wondered if it has ever been a problem for you? Keep up the good work.

Nice review. Great that you have status to use the First Class lounge. I am interested to know why you chose the aisle seat that you did. I always try to get a seat by the exit door as the leg room is tremendous, though you do have the flight attendants sitting across from you in their jump seats.

Changi Airport, even in 1987 it made Australian airports look like dumps. It was stunning even then, and it certainly was an eye opener to see soldiers walking around armed with sub machine guns which I had never seen in Australia, and I worked for the Police here. I remember landing back into Sydney first and thought how scruffy, tired and dilapidated it looked compared to Changi and Tullamarine was no better. Love the city of Singapore too, so clean and safe and lush. Just lovely!

Going on my first international trip in January. Sydney to Denver, with two 9 hour layovers... Should be fun. Qantas economy looks a lot nicer than what United will be though.
