Didymoteicho is a small town in Thrace, 85 km from Alexandroupoli and 2 km from the border of Turkey. Built at the confluence of the Evros and Erythropotamos rivers, between the two hills and the castles on the east and the west edge of town. The name of the town comes from the two castles. There are two amazing natural caves - one with large stalactites and stalagmites. There are also many remarkable ancient Greek ancient and Ottoman sights like the Bayezit Mosque and the Baths.
