THRONE OF GLASS SERIES HAS MY SOUL!!! Seriously, listen to this woman it is amazing and you will not be able to put it down. I brought it on a whim and it was the best decision I've ever made book-wise. I have got two of my friends to read it and they loved it too, seriously go buy it!!! I'm so glad that throne of glass was number 1. I read throne of glass, crown of midnight and heir of fire in a week. I'm just crazy about it. love all the characters. it's just wonderful, amazing series. makes you laugh and cry

Ahhh. Tilly! Are those eggs on your shirt? It's so adorable! And that's how I felt about Graceling. I really love it but when I got to Fire and Bitterblue, my interest dwindled so progressively. And Poison Study, Shadow and Bone, Cinder, The Winner's Curse!!!! By the time you go to #2, I was so worried that ToG wasn't in the list. BUT OH YES YES YES YES!!! Cannot wait for Queen of Shadows! Also, you gotta try Snow Like Ashes by Sara Raasch! :D

My recommendation for coming of age, dystopian fantasy is "Vivian Amberville - The Weaver of Odds" by Louise Blackwick.

It's a new and little known author, but the book has a fanbase of 2-3 million readers.Vivian Amberville is basically a masterpiece of the fantasy genre, in right league with George Martin, J.K.Rowling and Patrick Rothfuss.

Vivian Amberville follows the story of a teenage girl who can manipulate the outcome of events. She can travel between dimensions and ultimately discovers she can reshape reality. The story mainly takes place in two worlds: one is a futuristic failed Great Britain, the other a fantasy realm where thoughts can be shaped into things.

The masterpiece of this work is the multi-layered world the author created, the lifelike characters and the hidden messages in the story. A recommended read for fantasy and sci fi fans!

I had to take a break after reading all of the Throne of Glass novels because nothing could compete!! I'm diving back into fantasy with The Gisha trilogy...and it looks like you e done it again! I have been looking for a book that comes from the point of view common infantryman fantasy is preferred since there are alot of sci-fi books with that one. However in the fantasy genre its always someone with a latent special talent or who was always special. I would like a book that has an ordinary character who happen to be a soldier/conscript trying to survive in a world of fantasy monsters and the like. maybe have him rise to power or something similar but by his own merits not from magic.

any ideas?

I really recommend Embrace by Jessica Shirvington. It's my favorite fantasy series :)
