I actually tend to agree and have always found it somewhat interesting that the solfeggio frequencies are such high frequencies that are not really pleasant to the human hearing range. Regardless of their not so easy to listen to pitch, throughout the ages several people have sworn by their effectiveness is spiritual progression.

i currently dont have working headphones but i have good quality Techincs 3-way speakers with nice warm bass & good mids, run by a good quality Akai amp.. will this do in the mean time?

Hmm, i'm pretty sure that your brain would pick up the waves on a lesser volume. It's pretty interesting when you change the volume. Experiment with it.
