I feel the house needs to remain until the trial so the jury can walk through and look around.

isn't the house itself evidence? why not wait until the trial is over?

Thank You, Ashley.
Does anyone know if the court could place a temporary hold on demolition?? I'm very concerned about the house being demolished before the trial has taken place.
What if the prosecution or defense decides they want the jury to see the property first hand or what if the jury requests to visit the property?
I feel like the courts should step in and make them wait. I'm shocked the authorities would have even released the property yet without the trial completed first.

This is premature and they are destroying a crime scene prior to the trial.

A very beautiful and sensitive letter to the parents. I pray for the families' comfort and healing.

This is incredibly wrong. I’m pissed! How is this possible? Things need to be seen and heard in this home. Heard by the jurors…those responsible for sentencing someone to death. This is irresponsible and negligent to these kids honor and justice. WTF

I think it’s too soon to tear it down, just by the fact that they may find out later on something was significant that was overlooked. I really wish they would reconsider their decision. My condolences to the families involved.

I don't think they should demolish it until after the trial on the off chance that something was missed that may be needed to get the conviction and sometimes they take juries to the scene of the crime. There isn't going to be any "healing" until there's a conviction anyway and it's more important than symbolically demolishing the house. The owner of the house has probably already gotten insurance from the house and may get more if it is demolished.

If this demolition thing is true, I am surprised that the defense has not asked for a stay order to stop the demolition until trial is completely finished. Not getting a stay order for demolition means only one are "convinced" that Brian and Brian alone is responsible for all of the murders .

tear it down, plant 4 trees and make the lot a dog park named Murphy Park. put something positive there

I still think it should be kept as is until after the trial. I know the prosecution & defense have both had the house scanned but will that be enough?

*The 1122 King Road house won’t be adequately captured by the 360 scan. To demolish prior to A CONVICTION’s an INJUSTICE to Xana, Ethan, Maddie, Kaylee. The 360 scan can NOT capture the acoustics of screaming/pleading by victims or sounds of methodical movement of travel, etc. This was NOT a standard renovation of property! The jury should get an opportunity to hear how the architectural design affected acoustics as well as placement of bedrooms. The demolition of this property prior to trial would be re-victimizations. Add more security or razor-wire fences. THE FAMILIES DESERVE A CONVICTION. Not a mistrial, hung jury, or acquittal.*

In my opinion, the victim's family & lawyers should request the demolition of that house AFTER the trial is over. You never know if just one juror cannot make a decision unless she/he can visit the house.

Let's not forget that the monster, meaning the killer will probably face the death penalty, meaning they might not want to have any doubt making their decision. 3-Ds might not cover ALL the details.

Wouldn't the jurors like to see the house and it's layout?

it's the right thing to do.... AFTER he has been found guilty... they may need that house in the up Coming Court case

What are they thinking? Wait until after the trial!

I think it's perfectly reasonable to want to demolish the house ASAP because it's become a tourist attraction. It's bringing unwanted attention and people to the house, street, and the community that is trying to heal. And it's disrespectful to the victims who died there and their families. The jury does not need to walk through the house. They have state of the art technology to recreate the scene nowadays.
