2021 Tesla Model S REFRESHED, Knight Rider steering wheel & 520 Mile Range

Along with the arrival of the new high-performance Plaid and Plaid Plus models, Tesla has previewed the all-new interior design for the Model S and Model X electric cars, with a yoke-style steering wheel and what appears to be a fairly powerful gaming PC in the dashboard.

ill take everything BUT the steering wheel. That thing has got to go. I wonder if there will be a after market swap available at launch or preferably make the steering wheel an option and give the standard circle steering wheel as an option.

Tesla has always been known for be a radical company. They usually don't follow industry trends. With that said, the 'Yoke' steering "device" doesn't surprise me at all.

I love the new cabin. The old s felt like crap and wasn't worth it compared to the 3 and Y. Now these new designs stand up I feel.

I'm assuming it's not an actual mechanical connection steering wheel and it's electronic. Slow speed turn (like a u-turn) might not be a problem with that steering wheel if they tune it right.

okay, so I'm going to pick out a point most people probably would have ignored, because people will have already brought up the wheel, range, and top speed.

3 colors for the interior? 3 options? on a $119k. that's way too few. Luxury is choice and customization, and not having to settle. Acura, who is often criticized for not being being premium enough, has at least 5 choices of interior colors for their NSX. Let's hope that the dismal (for $70k starting price car) interior at least has it's materials now up to par with the rest of the class. but looking at the rear seat door handles, I am not hopeful.
