Great information on the approach values. This is information I log daily, but unaware of the actual reason why it's important. Several chillers are on site but currently working with Trane Centravac from the 1970s. Tube and shell flooded. Size CV-12F-G5-H5.

Current condenser approach 7-9°

Current evaporator approach running 10-15°

Condenser tubes punched yearly. However, I have no information last time that evaporator tubes were opened up.

Is Dx type chiller has same way to find.aproach like leaving water temp-saturation temp of gas as in flooded type or leaving water temp - suction temp of gas
