Maturity is realising that women in the Malayalam film industry are courageous enough to do this collective stand. Every film industry has the same environment but a few women who speak up get silenced, like it happened in the Tanushree Dutta case and other few women who came forward. Kudos to these women of Hema committee who stood unwavered under such TREMENDOUS pressure.

Hema committe should be a National project, covering all industries and make sure every industry is called out. No women deserves such toxic behavior

Who wants hema committee on other Indian industries as well?

I can never forget how Parvathy sat in the same room with Vijay Devarakonda and called out the misogyny and glorification in films like Arjun Reddy/Kabir Singh in the Film Companion 2019 roundtable. The woman has a heart and guts of steel! ❤

Kudos to Parvathy who always fought for justice. She lost so many opportunities when she was in her peak like Moideen, Charliee, Uyare and Bangalore Days. She sacrificed her career for all the woman in the industry

This should be a wakeup call to other industries as well. It's not something confined to the Malayalam or the movie industry in general. It's something that has been normalised and it should change.

I remember the attacks Parvathy faced. So proud to see all of this come out.

Thank you Jammy, this is something that everyone in India should know. As a malayalee I hope every industry implements this.

I recollect that even malayali folks calling Parvathy a ‘fake feminist’ for her initiatives in the WCC. People should understand that her losses outweighs the profits. This was true for a lot of women in the collective. The general audience should understand that the heroes who usually avenge the sexual predators in the movies aren’t so in real life.

Communities like HEMA should exist in every film industry!

Being a Malayali myself, I'm proud as we were brave enough to take the first initiative in curbing such unacceptable and heinous situations of exploitation, a step that would take a long time to come in practise for other fellow industries. Hope this leads to a change.🎗️

Remember the Balaya incident? It was very telling of how they treat women in the industry. Shame on those who make fanclubs & worship these actors 🙏

Sajid Khan was named and shamed by numerous actresses and only he lost the housefull 4 project.
His whitewash attempt by being inmate at bigg boss was cringey.
The channel and practically all khans, khannas, Kumars backed him.
These termites are indestructible

We, here in Bengal, are already disillusioned, frustrated and disturbed for a month now regarding the RG Kar case and now this news really left me heartbroken!! Day by day it is becoming impossible to keep one's head above the water. Wherever I see, such animals are reeking havoc and committing such heinous crimes, it is becoming difficult to hold onto my sanity. The govt.'s ignorance on the other hand is another major issue that is getting harder to digest!! To all the people in this fight, do not lose courage!! These animals and people in positions of power are counting on the short time span of the public conscious. Do not forget, if we do the cycle of violence continues. We have taken a stand and they have to listen. They have to act on it. Give me strength, give each other strength!!!

Put a hema committee on "bhojpuri" industry... there's a racket going on there.

Glad that the actresses had the courage to fight..True, the industry is misogynist. But of late, things are changing because the people who make movies nowadays are slightly more progressive. Good thing no one watched Dileep's new movies post 2017 and all of them flopped !
