Looks like we won't be signing a six since Zubimendi rejected us

I think Ryan Gravenberch has world class potential and is a perfect fit for Slot’s system. It’s a new role for him, but he’s looked comfortable in his first two matches there. He still has to improve his defensive positional play, but that will come with coaching and experience. His technical game is amongst the best in Liverpool’s midfield. Extremely press-resistant, and amazing at using his frame to beat his marker before even receiving the pass.

Thiago would've fit this system like a glove

They already have a potential world class 6. Tyler Morton is one of the most press resistant players going. Needs to play after a fantastic loan spell last year.

Not too sound ignorant. But isn’t it essentially just a slow counter attacking tactic based around the oppositions high press. The only difference I notice is that rather than a long diagonal ball. It more controlled along the ground.

Can ye do a video on how Liverpool went from world leaders in player recruitment to the absolute SHAMBLES they are now?

This can also be done without a double pivot. For example TAA joining the DM in buils up. Or one of the 2 central midfielder dropping next to the DM.

Gravenberch, Macca, Jones, and Szoboszlai have the skill and engines to play in the midfield three. Defensively they’d be okay in counterattacking situations but only Gravenberch can win aerial duels and I think they’d all suffer trying to cover the back 4 against possession teams and end of match scenarios.

Endo can fill the defensive duties but he’s not technical enough to build up in Slots box 4 with the CBs and other pivot.

Zubimendi would fit the role but they’ve missed out. While he’s not the only defensive technician, getting the “right” midfielder is always tough and there’s mere days left until match day 1.

Ending this window with no first team signings isn’t the end of the world, but it’s a misstep and will cost them in Champions League and fixtures against well-drilled teams including but not limited to Aston Villa, City, Arsenal, Tottenham, and Brighton. If Chelsea and United can find an identity then the list grows larger.

Zubimendi did so well to fill the GAPING hole left by Rodri after that injury 👏

He didn’t mention Endo. That guy is a beast but Slot seems like wanted to use Grav more.

Oh I forgot about gravenberch. Should he not be the guy for the job? He was touted as a generational talent

Macca, gravenberch and bajcetic will fit that role

I don’t get why Liverpool don’t just used the youth players at hand. Sure they might not be world class but how else can they develop?

Players like Jones and Gravenberch have been hyped up for years but only seem to be playing, and seem to be destined to remain as, squad players.

The sale of fabinho keeps making less and less sense, surely without finding a suitable replacement he would have helped this year and last year.

Seko fofana from the saudi arabian league would be a better idea or also Ruben Neves could be another option.

Endo wasn't even mentioned in this video despite having a fantastic season

Khephram Thuram would be a good option 6 ‘4 ball progression 8 that can become a dominant ball playing 6 down the road
